John 11:32-44 provokes thoughtful reflection on All Saints Sunday. An accusation: "Lord, if you had been here, my brother would not have died," is central to reflection, especially when we read that Jesus stood NEXT to Mary, weeping with her. After Lazarus emerges from the tomb, still bound with a cloth covering his face, Jesus commands: UNBIND HIM. Where are you bound? Do you experience the love of Jesus standing next to you no matter the situation? His love weeps with you in all things. Trust it.
